Well..... Since you said my Ekta Grandeís are sissies I figured I would build a Manly set of speakers.

Ok, not the only reason

Iím building a set of speakers that are 330 ltr, 18Ē woofer, 10Ē midrange, compression driver/horn for high frequency, and a super tweeter. Itís a design by Troels here, The-Loudspeaker. I have all the drivers, crossover components, and Hypex Fusion 500w plate amps to run woofers. Finalizing cabinet design for CNC now, first draft;

Compared to my Ektaís. Final height will be a smidge taller than Ektaís, after skirt/casters. Iím posting about the build here, Big Speaker Project, 18Ē + 10Ē + CD/horn, super tweeter

Thanks ZM for the clarification. Was just ribbing you. I see you appear to be a fan of open baffles? What is Fairytale speaker in your world?

The timing relay arrived yesterday and I finished the last of the wiring. No isssues on startup. Performed as the first. Here are the measurements for both amps. This one had a little larger swing between Mosfets in use than the first amp.

For final setting of both amps I set the average measurements to 540mv. So final numbers for each amp might be a couple points different.

Still within reason? Should I look at finding a better match for the 2 marked?

After buttoning it up I put it back in service. Listed for an hour or so, today was a little cooler so temps maxed out at around 47 degrees Celsius.

Sounds fantastic! Seems like I can hear a little benefit from the changes, need some more listening time to critique! No hums, pops or other unwanted sounds from startup to power off. Fantastic!

If only my amp builds were nearly as closely matched

these are truly works of art , with clear attention to all levels of detail . I am sure that they will serve you well for many years to come ( unless you are like everyone else on this forum who hops from one project to the next )

dB... Thanks so much for the compliments!

Iím really happy with how they turned out. This is the first amp that I built with a power on indicator, really like that, I like the size, shape and overall appearance, and probably crazy, but even though I could have used solid state (silent) relays to drop out the slow charge circuit I like hearing the magnetic relays click on/off.

Oh yea, and of course, the sound is fantastic!!!

Thanks again ZM for all your help.

I still have about 24 pairs of Sony Vfets to build something with...........
