no doubt in that , from the moment when Max Lorenz wrote that he bought genuine parts from you

when I wrote about testing , I meant on Vgs confirmation , to be sure they're adequate for SissySIT .....

most interesting now is - to try 2SK182ES in same circuit , and measurements ..... comparing to THF51-S

Like we all know , parts from both watanabetomoaki and pras1701 are genuine.

Now , I made Ugs measurements , with preferred condition of 24V for Uds , at 1A8 and 2A for Iq

in moment when I arranged to get 2SK182 from both Pras1701 and watanabetomoaki , I didn't know are they able or willing to send pre-tested devices , so I didn't asked for any matching

results for 2 pairs of 2SK1182ES are :

pras1701 , code 1Y1362 : -2.02V@1A8 , -2.00V@2A

pras1701 , code 1Y1363 : -4.37V@1A8 , -4.27V@2A

watanabetomoaki , code 142338 : -4.06V@1A8 , -4.03V@2A

watanabetomoaki , code 142339 : -4.06V@1A8 , -4.00V@2A

conclusion :

one SIT from pras1701 , with lowest Ugs is perfect for SissySIT test ....bot other one is not

both SITs from watanabetomoaki are border cases for test in SissySIT , demanding chase for mosfets having Ugs in range of 4V5 for 2A Iq , to enable at least 500mV voltage window , for optocoupler bjt nesting in

regarding yesterday gotten THF51S , and generally : from quantity of some 26 specimens I had opportunity to test until now , Ugs@2A is in range of -2.02V as absolute high and -3.77V as absolute low , so all of them easily used in SissySIT circuit

But!

judging by just few 2SK182ES on hand , one can hope to stumble on proper pair of these , as possible candidates for pure DEF circuit; if pras1701 is willing to test them , maybe he can send you some having Ugs in range of 4V or so ...... then you hoard some mosfets and up to tedious one on one pairing , in time and temperature domain

life is fun !

So I dont need to test my THF51Ss just solder them in the upcoming SissySIT build and close my eyes when turning on the power (bang) - and all will be fine? ;)

well , time for 2SK182ES tryout in SissySIT circuit .....

chose channel of T-Bed Sissy with mosfet having Ugs of -4V5 @ 2A , backed down with Iq to 500mA , removed THF51S and mounted 2SK182ES with Ugs of -4V0 @ 2A

re-set da Beastie to approx. 1A8 Iq and decent output offset
