my Kido (sister's son), living in Miami - came first time after 4yrs, to see all of us in Old Country

deal was - I'm going to make one smaller and not-so-hot amp for him, to bring back to US

smaller - easier to haul in plane, not-so-hot - logically

also made small passive (motorized 10K Alps) as temporary solution, while Iron Pumpkin SE + pair of 12" Tannoys with xovers is planned for next year visit

so, I had adequate 2HE/300 case (not new, back to full DIY recycle spirit), ordered custom Donut with Yank primary, had populated Il Penitente boards ........ everything perfect for few lazy afternoons fun work - ended as luke-warm Babelfish M25

RCA, some generic drek, good enough, certainly better than 70% of gold anodized whatsthats around

rails 22Vdc-ish, Iw set to 40W heat per side

they (Kido and his SheBoss) landed today, and I already got pic of new setup singing

proper amp IKEA furniture already ordered, same as new (all film) caps for Yam NS200MA

yup, Uncle ZM gave him some solder wire, so Viber session for caps changing is inevitable

didn't had any Yank mains solder iron to give, so we ordered nice cheap one from amzn

happiest audiophiles are unspoiled ones, having luck to get some guidance, while really having interest only in music

....... is going to visit us again!, of course lead by his better, smarter and more handsome half, in first half of April; sorta proper gathering after several years, both him and his sister are going to be together in childhood home, for first time in several years

Anyhow, as I promised almost a year ago, this time he's bringing back (to Miami) proper preamp to sit near to proper amp

I've started, hopefully few elements (custom Donuts, faceplate from CNC work) will be in time delivered, so I can assemble it in time
