Unfortunately my mighty Pass Aleph 4 has failed and I don't have the money to replace the 12 x 33000uF / 63V caps at the moment.
My Pass Pearl 2 was black quiet with the Aleph, going through a Pass B1.
While I am waiting for the funds to repair the Aleph 4 I am having to use my Arcam AVR280 (Shame on me I know).
One thing I notice immediately though is the Arcam is not as quiet as the Pass amps. It hums, albeit only quietly, on the silent passages of an LP.
The Pearl 2 uses 2 x 33000uF / 63V Audio caps sourced from Maplin some 20 years ago, they are fine.
I won't be buying Dubillier caps again, they failed after just over 4 years.
