There is no need to worry if Alweit has some parts in his inventory jet.
I have bought from him several times, he has done incredible good work at matching every time:
(On the picture attached you can see four pairs of really original Toshiba 2SK170/2SJ74.)

Looks good, but to understand just how good you might want to show the region of interest (-0.5 - 0.5 (V) Vgs and 9-12 (mA) Id, in this case) with higher graphical resolution.
Alweit has always been a great source of matched FETs and I'm not questioning the quality (highly recommended!!!).
I'm just pointing out that a 1-2% Idss difference would be invisible in the chosen graphical representation - and I know somebody would ask for less difference before calling it "incredibly good"

0.3% Idss and 3% Yfs, at controlled temperature, of course.

Above, that was my first impression.
Let's see a closer look:

Perhaps doing an Idss measurement on the jfets? You can do it with a
9V battery and a small-ish value resistor (say 10 to 100 ohms) or use
the ammeter of your DMM (if you trust it in the 10mA range)

I don't mean checking for Idss but only quick checking for damage.

Jfets in group BL are already very expensive so I have a question: can GR and V grade be used? In which projects it is absolutely unacceptable?
