Default Repair/replace Aleph P remote?

I have a retail Pass Labs Aleph P that I recently purchased, but in the past week or so the volume buttons lost their 'springiness' and the volume down button stopped working. I took the back off the remote, but I couldn't see anything - and now nothing works on it. I tried replacing the batteries, no go.

Are there spares for these in the Pass Labs warehouse? Are they repairable? Too nice of a design to just toss in the dustbin.

I've read it uses a Philips RC-5 signal - can anyone suggest a small/simple controller if the original isn't fixable? I don't want a remote with 60 buttons if all I use is 2.

Thanks in advance!

They are repairable and we still stock the buttons and encoder IC plus all the small parts.

Great suggestion. Thank you. The remote is en route to California now for a spa visit.

Great service from Pass Labs!
