The XP-10 with balanced output would provide 15V x 2.8 or 42V

Well, if .15V in gets you one 1V out, then how many input volts to get you 14?

14 x .15 = 2.1

Play with Big 24V | 2.5A MoFo amp this BAF Sunday.
Sonic is like descibed by Sir Rothacher in his article.
Great on voices and big space stage.
Not easy to campare with M2 or L'Amp because i play them with different front end or preamp.
M2 work with passive Autoformer Volume Control.
MoFo is connected to high gain vacuum triode preamplifier.
12" Alnico full range. Experiments today stay in tune

With iPad connected sound quality is listenable, but if change for CD player with class A stage as well,
then MoFo sound is most more excellent
Conclusion: good quality sound at inputs good sound at his outputs.
Front-end, preamp without global feedback to drive it is recommended IMHO.

Yes amp are with global feedback.
That is the reason preamp without is more desirable for MoFo.
