Origin of the name "aleph" for Pass amp designs

I know that aleph is the first letter in many alphabets, and also means something in mathematics. But I don't ever remember seeing why he chose it in any off his articles (or threads here). It's certainly a good name, just wondering the origin.

Funny we were talking about transfinite cardinals at work Friday...in relationship to someone's birthday.

I've always like the name Aleph. Big and bold, truly 'to infinity and beyond'.
