Thermal pads for solid state relay from Electronic Components and Accessories | MPJA.COM
this solution was on AudioMaker video, start time 27:00 Lab Hangout #2
Greetings :cheerful:

Hey Soundhappy...I followed your link and tried searching the website, but couldn’t find a thermal pad like that. Afterward, I just did a Google for “large electronic relay insulating pad” and I got a hit on their website...but it says NLA.

Is this the item?

Solid State Relay, Thermal Mounting Pad | MPJA.COM

You will be happy to know that some progress has been made.

Remaining SIT-1 transistors are in SIT-3 amplifiers.

About 400 Sony Vfet channels are being prepared for introduction
in the diyAudio store.

Designs around remaining THF-51 and 2SK182 are in development.

Researchers at UC Davis (my alma mater) have developed new SIT using
Gallium Nitride.

This is exciting news for sure! So I guess the next questions are whether or not it will be a patented process and when/if a manufacturer will take up the challenge and turn it into commercially available devices.
