Did you also measure the 8-ohm secondary?

Hi Mike!
I measured the 8 ohm tap secondary: (@100Hz)
+ L = 35.7mH
+ Rac = 6.86 ohm
+ Rdc = 0.61 ohm

Unfortunately, I'm not use LTspice
I will build this amp with 100v/0.8A, I really don't like to use regulator so I will use choke input as LCLC filter. Just a little hard to find a good capacitor with high voltage.

I haven't plugged your new figures into the simulation yet, so hold your horses.

Try 32-ohm pri, 8-ohm sec, B+=80V, Id = 1.1A .2% @ 1W if the sim is to be believed.

Bias voltage needs to be steady.

Many thanks for your help! I will try and tell you the result. I have some experience about bias for vfet so I will take care about this and make sure the bias voltage start up first and after that a timer will turn on B+.

The device dissipation is a little bit high, you can lower the bias or be FAB.

Have fun,

Mike
