Being very new to amp building I would like to build the F5 and the Aleph J in the same chassis and with same power supply to get a taste of Papas designs.
I already have a pair of 370x370x50 mm sinks. One could easily fit one channel each of F5 and Aleph J on each sink. Switching between amps will be by manually changing the amp connected to ps. Only one amp connected to ps att a time. Designated in/out connectors for each amp.
My active Linkwitz Orion x/o have a lot of compensation and for it not to clip under operation i need at least 26 dB voltage gain from the amps. I heard that more gain is available from the F5 by reducing amount of neg feedback but for the Aleph I don't know.
Does anyone know of a front end/gain stage I could build that solves this problem?
I thought of the B3 but it doesn't seem to be public just yet.
Regards,
