This 400VA started out quiet - not sure what changed. Can confirm great customer from Antek though.

Yes, I have used quite a few of their transformers, for both power amps and preamps, always trouble free. many here use them.

If yours was quiet before, either the transformer is defective, or something got undone or broken somehow. I am the king at having "unsolvable" problems that end up being some mistake I created....see just a few posts back with my "Cold heatsink on one side" silliness...

No, I didn't, but it probably a good thing to do. Mine are just zip tied to the perforated floor.

That's the PSU sorted.....

but which one first. either the A J of F6. I'm not sure but leaning towards the J as a xmas treat.

Aleph J for Christmas seems a perfectly wonderful plan.

F6 ia a great amp. I thought I had others that covered it's tone, so I cannibalized it for AlephJ. Dont miss a thing. Build both, but AlephJ is one of my favorites to return to. Everyone's mileage may vary...taste, front end, speakers etc.
