Even more simply:
If the transconductance is 1, then there is a 1 amp change
is Drain-Source Current for every 1 volt of Gate-Source
voltage change.
If the transconductance is 2, then there is a 2 amp change
is Drain-Source Current for every 2 volt of Gate-Source
voltage change.
and so on, this with transconductance expressed in Siemens,
which is the inverse of ohms.
If the transconductance is 1, then there is a 1 amp change
is Drain-Source Current for every 1 volt of Gate-Source
voltage change.
If the transconductance is 2, then there is a 2 amp change
is Drain-Source Current for every 2 volt of Gate-Source

Then all transconductances are = ?
I think if gm=2 then you get a 4amp change for 2volt change

Yeah, but Siemen sounds so... um... biological. I rather liked it when the unit really was the inverse of ohms; mhos. But alas, we've lost our mhojo.

That's nothing. In the old days they granted the right of the
discoverer to name the element.
According to Cyclotronguy, this no longer exists, and in fact they
have renamed a number of the higher elements.
This probably explains why you don't see Kentium on the
periodic table of the elements.

i still think this ain't right

Hehehe. Yeah, but many of them are named after persons. Such as Lawrencium (after E. O. Lawrence), Nobelium (after Alfred Nobel), Mendelevium (after Dmitri Mendeleev), etc.
Guess we just have to wait 'til someone named Kent becomes worthy of such an honor.

Quite correct, hitsware . I suppose Nelson must have had a glass of o very good Cabernet ... . Me, I drank Cabernet Savignon Tupahue Reservado from Chile yesterday.

Well Mike, I guess you'd better hop over to Raley's and grab a bottle of MD-2020. Better hurry. They close in half an hour.

Hehehe. You sure? You might end up spending 17 hours praying to the porcelain god. MD-2020 is a sweet, cheap rot-gut wine favored by teenagers who just want to get drunk (it's 20% alcohol) and puke all night. Which is why "MD-2020," (MD standing for Mogen David) is most commonly known as "Mad Dog 2020" by the kids.
Unfortunately I speak from past experience here.

Nelsium
I wonder what number in the periodic system Nelsium has

If you bring some good beer
PMA said:Original Pilsner Urquell brewed in Plzen/Czech
Yea, that will get my transconductance going (and make my amp sound great) !
