Its interesting that it looks similar to the Balanced Zen Line Stage with the addition of a mosfet current source

Not sure about that.

Front end is F5 with cascoded jfets and BJTs on front end output. Output stage is F4-like.

Also, EVUL had a balanced preamp for his balanced F5 project...check the threads.

Also there is a Balanced BA-3 thread you can use the front end of.

Yes. This Sunday at Burning Amp '18 Wayne Colburn is presenting a really cool discrete opamp that can be doubled up for balanced.

Hang tight for a few more days.

Hi, im getting ready to build the F5T, and need to buy the resistors now.
are there any preferred brands or technologies?
also im geussing some resistors are more critical then others, what would be the most critical ones?

Based on my listening experience with this Amp I would go for Takman Carbon. I made a mix and IT was not the right mix.

For the 0.47 resistors You Will need something Else.

I prefer to use MOX or Non-inductive Wire wound resistors for emitter/drain in 3 to 5 watt, Quality matters but I don't go for exotics as the active components add the most distortions, passives (resistors) the least.
