Thanks.I have tried entering markings on various sites to identify the component,but to no avail.I have also contacted Nikko-Electronics but they to are unaware of such a component,as are CPC.I wonder if the markings,BC QU,is a code used by Sony,or in this case, Fujitsu Ten?I have noticed that Sony tend to use components with similar markings,does anybody know what the markings refer to?Thanks.

I believe the two and three digit numbers are simply manufacturer codes, probably intended for mass production.
Since most will be buying on a 5000 reel the code just confirms that they have the labelled reel correctly loaded on the assembly machine.
I would not expect these codes to be unique, there are just too few digits.
You will need the manufaturer and chip name to identify the type.
