I do know what pedant means, sorry..
When I looked at the link, the AC lines were alternating. It was switching back and forth, to clearly show how each AC terminal changed polarity and the output did not..
Perhaps it was a java thingy that keeps you from seeing the changing.

mine doesn't animate, though I thought from the description on the page it should have been
