I have a Micromega Stage 2. The best and easiest way to improve the sound of your DAC is by changing the OP-amps. I think most of the Micromega CD Players and DACs are using the NE 5532 ( dual op-amp ) or the 5534 ( single op-amp ). You can swap the 5532 with either a OPA 2604 or OPA 2132/2134 or the 5534 with either an OPA 604 or 132/134.
You can also go to LC Audio's Website to have an idea what are the things you can do to upgrade your system.
