What Electrolytic caps manfacturer?

For the replacement I bought some electrolytic capacitors at a local dealer, they have the following imprint:
1000 µF 25V
8424EL
105°C NHG
the foil is black, the minus imprint silver
[M] ..... M in a square with rounded corners
Who is the manufacturer?

Hi that is an older series of [M]atsushita, better known as Panasonic. I would not use NHG as they probably are very old but I would order new Panasonic FC or FM at Farnell, Mouser etc.

[M]atsushita, Panasonic looks like good for my deployment in an old TV.

Hope that 8424EL marking isn't a date code!!

But the capacitors don't look that old after all. I needed them quickly to repair my older TV and bought them from a small local electronics retailer. I wouldn't use them for HiFi Audio DIY.

Looks may deceive. Never use standard parts that already old (despite being unused). I recently threw away a small stock of NHG as they are too old by now. The more recent FC/FM are better, live longer and can be found at many resellers.

What I learnt in the years is not too keep parts in abundance in stock but to order fresh/recently produced parts in exactly the right amounts from reputable resellers. Only parts that will be out of production and don't suffer from aging are worth to keep in stock (film caps etc). Unfortunately local dealers have the same issue with keeping stuff in stock in this day and age...
