Using a 6" length of 28 AWG IDC10 cable for audio hookup?

Is it feasible to use a 6" length of 28 AWG IDC10 cable to hookup a front panel to an audio PCB? The front panel contains: input and output stereo jacks, a volume control potentiometer, and a 12 VDC 1A power input jack.

Yes, IDC and other flat cable types are common in audio gear.
Keep audio lines separated by earth wires and parallel any left over wires for the DC input.

Thank you to everyone for your good advice. Regardless, something troubled me about using ribbon cable for this particular project, which will be posted in the near future. Hand twisted 26 AWG hookup wire will
be used instead because it provides a better solution this time. You may agree after you see my completed project.
