2SC1941 npn transistor

I'm trying to fix an old rotel amplifier, but cant find a good replacement for the 2SC1941 transistor. Do u guys know a good one I can buy?

One site suggested 2SC2687.


The 2SC1941 has somewhat higher ratings than the 2SD756A, so that might be possible if the voltage and power requirements aren't too large.

NPN, 1W, 160V, 50mA, 120MHz. You could try mpsa42, mje340, or 2n5550. If the original failed from heat then go with mje340. If it doesn't get hot, then 2n5550. Schematics I can find run 2sc1941 as the VAS at about 6.5mA and 280mW (+-43V) , so any of these will work, but the power is a bit tight so I would use mje340. Note that with +/-43V, you don't need 160V. A 100V transistor would be fine. But if the amp spend any time at the +ve rail, you have 86VDC *6.5mA = 560mW, very close to the 2n5550 limit of 625mW. In any case, be careful with the pin-out.
