Bought this transformer from eBay, but there are only Chinese markings on the wires! Which wire are the primary side, and which wires are secondary side, and which are which?

Well, you get what you pay for .
Glad that jazbo was able to resolve.
Best regards!
Jazbo went straight to the solution
Just as a backup and for future use, here´s a wider colour > symbol translation, including subtle hues:

That said, WHO needs an R Core Power Transformer?

Who said that?Yes, who needs to power something.
I mentioned needlessly using an R Core in a power Transformer.
That fine line under text is called "underlining" , blacker than normal is called "blackface" , both mean putting "emphasis" (google it) on a word or concept.
R cores are presumed higher quality, flatter response, more linear, etc. , than common EI ones, so useful in a critical application such as an OT.
More expensive too.
No real advantage (if at all) in a humble 50/60 Hz power transformer, unless a particular Audiophile thinks PTs are in the signal path.
There is some advantage if you want to squeeze one in a flat enclosure. They are fairly compact.o real advantage (if at all) in a humble 50/60 Hz power transformer, unless a particular Audiophile thinks PTs are in the signal path.
Are there any advantages over a double C core besides shorter turn's length?
Best regards!
If you purchase them look for symmetrical winding.
A double C or quad C should be the equivalent.
Also toroid should be the equivalent.
The only sucker here is the EI core, but it still works
The colour on your picture are not the same that are on my transformer. Brown, yellow, green and yellow, on the primary side.

The picture came from the eBay page you posted. I just translated what is on the diagram.
