Default Speaker protection board power supply

I bought some of these boards

BTL TDA7498 TPA3116 TDA7492 Digital Amplifier Speaker Protection Board Module | eBay

I've only tried one so far with 12vac.
The led doesn't lignt. I haven't fed a signal through it yetbeither.

Do you think the led is a power indicator or a fault indicator.

What can I expect this board to do exactly. Will the relays only energise at a fault.?

Thanks

I don't think I would trust my speakers and amplifier with a 2.50 Chinese PCBoard.

I got these based on a comment on the class d section on here from a user of these boards for the last couple of years.

My amps that I am trying these with cost about a fiver....tda8932.....so not too much to lose. Cheap enough drivers at the minute too.

So 12v dc obviously makes these things work despite claims on the eBay auction that AC is suitable.

What sort of.current will these use to trigger the relays. My 3e audio amps have a 200ma 12v output I could potentially use?
