I can't seem to find these originals any longer, would anyone have an idea for a replacement?

You think they make toroidals this size now? These were from the 70's I believe.

The date code is August 1990. Why do you need to replace them?

Hammond makes a heap of chokes. Find your H, match your weight, check the DCR.

Would you want a toroid..may not handle high current or DC well?

If you don't need to replace them, it then sounds like you are duplicating some existing equipment. The coil makers themselves may not be available, but perhaps the people who made the speakers you are copying might have them. Chances are the Sigma people made them custom for the application anyway.
