Rotel RA-840BX2 Volume Pot Replacement

Guys i need a workaround to replace my Rotel RA-840BX2 Volume Pot.
Original Type is no more in the market:
ALPS 673F 4TR-1882 20KA X2
Is this a linear type ?

If it is a Volume pot it should be a log one

Yes I know it's obsolete but there has to be a workaround/modification can be done.I want to know if it's a linear type or logarithmic.

And MAACO told you that it will be "log".

Looking at the plan, I agree: while either will "work", a Linear will be very twitchy (hard to adjust) at low volumes.

Thanks matee.I missed it. Will try to a suitable 20Kohms to replace it.

For future reference all volume pots for audio will be logarithmic. Quick google gave the below link.

Further, worth asking ALPS if they stock a new 20k log model of equivalent dimensions (in body size, pin spacing, etc) that could be substituted.
