cheers,what if i went lower,say 16ma would that work? just looking for alternatives as im in the uk
Only difference will be the brightness. If there is room 2 x 16mA in parallel would get you to the same place. I guess 60mA might be too bright?
Model and craft shops used to do these for dolls houses etc..
well current rating doesn't determine light output (directly) but the lower rating makes me wonder if it would be bright enough.
i would check model/ hobby stores for these types of lamps as the are commonly used for model train setups as rail crossing indicators or tiny house lamps.

Or use an LED & resistor. Should never need replacing again.
I assumed it was AC, but if it is DC this is better.
