I am a fairly firm tube guy. I have never liked the sound of SS stuff as much as tube stuff. However I have always been curious to see if I could design something that changes my experience.
I am reading about nelson pass and his fancy SITs and I would like to build a clone of the SIT-1. 1 stage, no feed back, single ended output. (I am a big believer in having as little as humanly possible in the audio path).
But it looks like no one makes SITs anymore. Am I just blind and missing them, or do I have to play the ebay lottery?

Google is your friend as its been decades since Silicon SITS became obsolete and very, very expensive - even used. The latest types (not strictly for audio use) are now in Silicon Carbide form: SIT Transistors for audio ?
