WIMA FKP vs high-end MKP caps for signal path?

...
are non-metallised more transparent/accurate than metallised polyproplyenes in the signal path?
Would the specialised audio caps sound better than general purpose WIMA?

FKP (low capacity, less used in audio)
Dielectric: PP film
Electrodes: Metal foil

MKP (better capacity, most used in audio, also from other brands)
Dielectric: PP film
Electrodes: Double-sided metallized plastic film

FKS
Dielectric: PET film
Electrodes: Metal foil

MKS (similiar to MKT)
Dielectric: PET film
Electrodes: vacuum deposited layer from one side of the PET film

The general purpose WIMA is MKP or MKS.

The main difference in the sound quality is due to dielectric (PP is prefered over PET).

I'd go with the MKP which is the general purpose of WIMA :D
Questionable remains whether wound type or stacked type. Almost all speaker crossovers use the wound type. I don't know if Wima is producing wound type. You can test the sound quality by listening (buy one Wima MKP 10uF and one Miflex MKP13-10U/400, put them in series with your amp and compare ... I found the wound type better, and of about 10 wound types (MKP) tested by my listening tests, the Miflex and a Monacor were the best ... but differences in MKP are minimal and I can prefer something other than you).

Funny is that even the most basic MKT produces a few times less distortion than the best audio electrolyte :D

Well its usually trivial to over-specify an electrolytic coupling cap to reduce the voltage across it to an arbitrary low level and drive the distortion right down. With a film cap that's harder as they get very large and expensive above a few µF

Compare a 1µF film cap with 220µF electrolytic as a coupler in a circuit of impedance 10k - at 20Hz the film cap has most of the signal voltage across it to create distortion, the electrolytic has 0.4% of the signal voltage so if its 10% distortion intrinsically it can only give 0.04% to the circuit (and in practice since the voltage is small, the distortion will be much lower anyway).
