I have pcb switch horizontal mount that has a 3.3mm square end that a cap goes on. As you see in the image, I drilled holes for the cap to slide through but you have to be pretty precise to get it to work well so the cap doesn't get caught up on the faceplace hole. In other words, the holes have to be drilled pretty preciselty.
I was wondering, I would like to drill a hole that the stem of the pushbutton switch goes through. But instead of a plastic cap, I have seen these rubber squishy caps. Basically you press in on a squishy rubber cap and it compresses. This seems like it would be much more forgiving when drilling the hole.
1) what are these rubber squishy switch caps called?
2) do they still make them and where can I find them?
