Default Fake or not fake ???

Hi friends,

I have recently bought on eBay these DAC chips, that are supposed to be the well known "PCM-56P - K".

I have no reason to suspect that they are fake, but no reason to believe that are not fake....

Here is the photo:

Do you know if these are fake or not ?
Thank you

That are fakes. The BB PCM in this casing always have the production code beside the type, on the right, not below it.

For 28 pin one date code is just under PCM letter.

As I said, it is NOT on the 14 pin one. On this casing BB does not do it this way.

Do they actually work or are they something totally different? I don't think eBay is often a safe bet for a these sorts of parts, an old CD player might be safer as a source.

I asked the question "are they fakes" before taking the decision to solder them or not...

Provided that you say they are fakes, I have not soldered them because I prefer the keep the original PCM56P-J in place: they do not belong to the "K" grade, but I am sure they are not fakes.

I confirm that on the original PCM56P-J, the production code is beside the type number, NOT below, as explained in a previous post.

They did not cost me a lot ($5.63 for 5 pieces) but they immediately go to the bin !

Last question : do you know a reliable source for the PCM56P-K ??...
Thanks

Don’t have an 49720ha but I have the 49710ha , so here is the picture .
You could see the writing on my chips, I am not sure the ebay ones are real. I personally would not buy those . Lme49720 na is not discontinued yet....
