The catalogue shows a great range of hi-end output transformers, and indicates the importance of the core lamination material. It seems like Beacon used the same winding assembly and core stack outer dimensions for eg. variants like S06, S16 and S26, as the primary P-P winding resistance and leakage inductance are shown as the same.

Keen to hear from anyone with a Williamson amp with a Beacon transformers/choke :-)

If any of you guys are around after 11 years I'm looking for information on the beacon 88C, I can't find anything at all. I just got a bulk lot of transformers to make some tube amps with and I'd love to get specs especially on the 88C (it's a big lad)

The 88C would appear to use a model number scheme that was introduced after 1958 (https://dalmura.com.au/static/Beacon...0Catalogue.pdf).

All I can suggest is to try any and all NZ on-line technical and audio forums, and the radio association (New Zealand Vintage Radio Society – Keeping New Zealand Radio History Alive).

Does anybody have a pinout for the Beacon A26 octal-base 600-600 ohm tranny?

A 600:600 will have two windings of about 60 Ohms DC. You can probably beep it out with ohmmeter faster than anybody could look it up.

Hi everyone, I have a brand new beacon R134 transformer I purchased in the late 70's. (Actually got 2 of them). Looking to find out what all the tech specifications are, if someone knows. Cheers

oldTnut, if you look through the 1958 catalog (linked to in post before yours) it indicates the R series is for power transformers, and yours is as you indicate - older than 1958.

No later catalog available so far - you may have to test for winding voltages, and use core size and winding dc resistances to estimate current ratings.
