Hi!
I purchased 4 units of Toshiba 2SC1079 from the Canadian Pacific Semiconductors shop.
How can I identify if they are original or fake? As far as I know, the mentioned model was discontinued long time ago, so the transistors I purchased supposed to look old. However, the received transistors don't look like NOS, but too new for a vintage transistor.
Is there anyway to make sure they are not fake?

Audio Manic,
fake transistors is discussed in many threads.
You can take a look at these sites and compare with your transistors :
Counterfeit Transistors
Transistores falsificados
You can also try the test setup shown in the latter site.
