Storing various components

As long as you don't buy the cheap ones yes that and anything else I can get
my hands on. A jam jar a cookie box Lot's of shoe boxes etc. etc. :)

And of course the boxes full of 'yeah sure I'm going to re-use that part sometime'.
Some already stored in a dark corner and almost forgotten but always fun to
remember and browse through just when you are in need of that special part.
 
For all cableware enclosures and transformers and such, I use Tupperware crates (Dutch - Curver Kratten) in a self-made cabinet. The crates are arranged such that they slide out as if they are drawers.

The really small stuff (caps, semi's etc.) I put in zip-bags, and put them in one of the crates.

This brings back memories.

When I started out I used match boxes glued together. Great for small parts like resistors and semis.

Match boxes are cheap.

Also look for the right size container when you are grocery shopping. Small ice cream containers are good. Buy the same ones all the time and you can have a set.
