I have never had any problems with eminence woofers, I have used them to replace blown JBL, Peavey, Crate and other drivers in PA systems, monitor systems, bass rigs.
Install and forget. That and the fact the they cost less makes it easy to use them.

A bump is the mids may be good for punching out the vocals. If it's too much, pull out some mids.
