I have had the Arion Legacy Deep Sonar for 2 years but the subwoofer has recently started sounding very distorted. I can't find any replacement for the whole subwoofer itself but was wondering if just replacing the actual subwoofers themselves would be possible.

The subwoofer drivers in that enclosure are proprietary with unknown parameters, so without measurements it will sound different. How much different? Hard to say but the daytons got relatively universal parameters, they will work in both BR and sealed enclosures of a wider range of volume. It's quite safe to assume both are wired in parallel, which means, you will get critical 2 Ohm if you are using the linked 4 Ohm Daytons. They are available in 8 Ohm too, so go for these instead.
