An elder audio buddy pulled me aside sagely and said
“Rick, you’re not spending enough time on your DIY – too much time online, and too much dreaming!!”

So I started to think about ~ songs about dreaming:

Heres’ a couple:

~ Bouncy Dreaming – Blondie singing Dreaming:

When I met you in the restaurant you could tell I was no debutante.
You asked me what's my pleasure, "A movie or a measure"?
I'll have a cup of tea and tell you of my dreaming.
Dreaming is free.
Dreaming.

I don't want to live on charity.
Pleasure's real or is it fantasy?
Reel to reel is living rarity.
People stop and stare at me, we just walk on by; we just keep on dreaming.
Dreaming is free.
Dreaming.

I sit by and watch the river flow.
I sit by and watch the traffic go.
Imagine something of your very own; something you can have and hold.
I'd build a road in gold just to have some dreaming.
Dreaming is free.
Dreaming.

~ King Dreaming – Elvis singing (NBC Studios, Burbank, June 23, 1968: wha thank you Mr Parker”) :

“If I could dream, of a better world . .”

What’s your dreaming song? :cloud9:

The most famous American "dream" song is actually a Steven Forrester tune from the Civil War "I dream of Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair"

But perhaps SY is old enough to remember this Jeannie to dream by:

The Cure - The Dream

you're too far away
too far away to touch
and this mother's love inside me
hurts too much
prettily waving
playing on the sand
dreaming of everything
dancing
dancing in our hands
dancing
dancing

dizzy dizzy dizzy
as i speak
like a tumbling cat
i watch in fascination
like a vampire bat
don't do it don't do it
don't do it don't do it
don't give it away
we'll use it up tomorrow
if we don't use it today

rest your head
oh! just put it outside
all wrapped up in ribbons
the night
the dream
the time love died

we pushed it in our mouths
pushed it deep inside
all wrapped up in ribbons
the night
the dream
the time
love died

The songs of The Cure implement a kind of dreaming even when the text isn´t about it, so do millions of other songs. So your question about songs and dreaming is to common i think.

Well, OK, all of Kate Bush...
You are right Smarmyman:D According to rumours, she has a new album on the shelfs, right now;) Wow, Kate Bush, I remember that woman for great music. Better go grab a sample of that new cd, at once!!
As for dreaming, go and check out some old Pink Floyd albums:D :D :D

Steen:cool:

PS For the ultimate dreaming experience, anything from "Enigma" would be the thing. You just have to love this "Apache"-tribal kind of feeling, dont you??
