I wanted to like it. I tried. I really, really tried.

The whole thing just sounds like a drawn out Puscifer album. Glad the album found a home with someone else. But for me, it marks the end of an era.

RIP Tool.

TBH, It's the first Tool album I've listened to, (reminds me a bit of Wishbone Ash...),
If I was to get another, which one should I listen to???

You know, I kinda thought that might be the case after I already posted this!

If you were to dive into another album after Fear Innoculum, I'd probably say go with Lateralus. I mean ALL the preceeding albums are fantastic in their own way. But I think Lataralus will be a nice stepping stone. Wherever you land, welcome to the world of tool fools!

Also, if you haven't already, since you like Fear Innoculum you might wanna check out Maynards other bands - A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. They're not quit as heavy as Tool and offer cleaner vocals like those found on Fear.
