Well, I suspected immediately that it was not a real piano because it had that "electronic sound" to it. I listen to a lot of piano music which helps. I figured it was something computer generated but was surprised to see the Fender guitar. I'd like to know what the device in use was.

That can be a feature rather than a bug.
What blows me away is how Randy really captures the sorts of chords and lines that you'd actually do on a piano. Not at all guitarish. But then, he's a true master of the instrument.
Thank Randy. He's the guy who pioneered the two-hand tapping technique of guitar playing as well. Eddie van Halen ought to donate part of the fortune he made from it...
