Default RIP George Duke

Master musician George Duke passed this past Monday.

George Duke, Legendary Jazz Keyboardist, Dies : The Two-Way : NPR

I was excited to be seeing him and Stanley, yet again, in a few weeks.
I started my marathon an hour ago.
Great stuff.

Well, I just heard him for the first time and did a search... sad that there were no replies to this epitaph, so seven years later... cheers GD. The guy was a monster... here's what I stumbled on tonight... the stuff is just sick!

If ya like it look for George Duke, "After Hours" it off that CD. I love discovering hidden gems like this.

Finally, another kindred spirit.
Welcome to the club.
As you can tell, he left a nice legacy.
Enjoy!

I would love to have seen Clarke & Duke in person, especially in their younger time. Two masters.

This one had a particularly special feel to a 15 year old me when it came out.
