Swap a CD: How to Swap Used CDs

I joined this online CD swap club a couple of months ago, and it's sometimes a pretty good alternative to buying used on Amazon (as it clears out a few of your unwanted CDs). Things move kinda slow for my odd taste, but it's probably quicker if you're in the mainstream.

After about a year I've swapped over 25 CDs. It's a way to move out stale CDs and free up room. Patience....

I'm not a member but it does say it's a national site so may well be limited to the USA. Plus the sender pays postage which also makes being outside the US problematic..

Is this safe? Cant really figure it out. Bit i have a TON of cd's i would like to swap to some more rock n roll cds.
Can anyone besides Andersonix share their experience with this side?

98% SAFE.
By my reckoning it's as "safe" as the US Postal Service's performance, which is almost 98%: Of the 171 CD's I've mailed out since 2009, 4 have gotten lost in the mail (and I did not receive those credits), while 7 of 171 have gotten broken by USPS (but I still received those credits, so no loss to me).

What can't you figure out?

Can't figure out if it's safe, I'd read into the post.

Unless one has several independent assurances that one doesn't send CDs off and get nothing in return, it's hard to figure out if it's safe and you don't just loose out for being too trusting..

And I thought I had trust issues! If you're afraid this is a trick to lure used CD's from you, and you don't want to give out your address to fellow SaCD members so they can send you CD's you've requested, then you shouldn't join. You also can't join unless you have a USA postal address.

I am promoting the Swap-a-CD club because the more members there are, the larger the selection of used CD's there will be, and I will find more music. I'm glad to answer any questions.

I'm still going pretty strong with 17 CD's received in 2019, and 12 so far in 2020.

Just got credit for a Jimmy Buffet CD that I posted 11 years ago and had 65 copies already in the queue, so stuff is moving out!

Just donate what you don't want to your local resale shop, and buy different CDs while you're there.
Most CDs sell for $1 each here, and you can look at them before purchase. I've gotten some great
stuff, and no hassles.

I donated my CDs to the public library. Took a tax deduction on the donation. And library CD checkouts are free.

Another long-time SwapaCD club member made a youtube video about swapacd.com. His tastes are less discerning than mine, so he gets lots of action. He makes the 'wish list' portion seem complicated, but it's not actually.
