For those who may not visit the other boards where I posted, I've added a page to my site with a number of tests and some analysis of the new SS 6600 tweeter. The unit I have was loaned. Newer units seem to have some of the FR linearity issues handled. John (zaph) posted FR graphs of two new ones that look a bit better. His don't have the 7K dip seen in this one.

Can you make measurements?
I'd be interested to know if you hear any difference and how you'd characterize it. Also, can you measure your system? A before and after set would be very useful.bdubs767 said:great test, think I may now add some dampening material to my 6600
thanks
SS 6600 web page updated
Within a couple of days of posting this page, I found that I could remove the diaphragm without damage. I've updated the page to show a series of photos and include some more discussion of the motor design.
