I'm a newbie at this so please forgive what maybe a stupid question.
My receiver has gone in for repair twice (under warranty) and the repairman has said that the problem is caused by overheating due to running 6 ohm speakers instead of 8 to 16 ohm.
He says that I have to buy new speakers. Is there anyway to modify the speakers to get them up to 8 ohms so they match the receiver?
Hopefully this has not been answered before. I did a search but could find nothing.

Would 10-25 watt power resistors be alright when my receiver is 120W RMS per channel?
Should be OK even for 120W.

Thanks DorinD. Thats solved a big problem for me, much cheaper than buying new speakers.
