I have decided to etch a pcb for my crossovers rather than use thin mdf and wire..... is this a good idea?
I suppose decent wire between components conducts really well, but if I leave the tracks on the pcb nice and fat ie 15mm or so, will this be enough

would be glad to hear what others do with this???

cheers

If your trace are large, I don't think there is a difference. Point-to-point wiring is usually done because it is more convenient since the crossover is simple (less than 5 components). If you have a complex 3-way 4th order crossover with impedence compensation, notch, l-pad, etc. etc, in that case I strongly suggest a PCB for maintainability :)
