mid-bass question

i got this 4" cambridge mid bass im gonna use to cover from 200hz to 3.5k hz
i calculated its fs, and gives me 91 hz (isnt it strange?)

should i make a vented box tuned to 91 hz for the mids? (the tweeter will be in the same box)

Ported boxes are usually only used to alter bass response downwards, you do not need to do this with a crossover of 200Hz, just build a sealed box with no anomalies around the crossover frequency, and a nice smooth roll off, and you should be ok.

You could possibly try altering the box dimensions to give you a bass roll off from the mid that is 3 or 6 dB down at your crossover frequency, then you will need no crossover components at the bottom end for that driver.

It is just a little bit low. My 4.5'' woofer Fs is 102Hz. The woofer is in a ported box tuned to 78Hz. In your case, if your driver is a true mid-range, this is useless to make a ported box.
