Default Castle Tay driver fault

my brother reports one of his Castle Tay speakers makes an unusual sound (mid/bass). Not surprising as this speaker dosn't suit his volume habits!
Anyone know if these drivers can be reconditioned? Are they made by Castle?

When the surrounds went on my uncles Castle speakers he contacted the factory and they rebuilt them for him at a 'reasonable' cost. This was a few years back but I should think they still do that for owners today.
