I've got an old set of SoundWorks. I was using them in a biamped setup with SBLive soundcard and kX drivers for about two years. Now I got a semi-professional soundcard Esi-Maya44 and some quick switch tests showed (even my dad confirmed it by blind-testing himself) that one pair is clearly better at mid-high frequencies, has more punch and overall soundstage is better. All positions and distances are the same, so I have two ideas:
Creative used different drivers for front/rear sattelite pairs
Drivers got "used to" some frequencies because of prolonged use in a biamped setup.
Neither of them is very convincing.
Any ideas?
