Default Proac response 3.8 crossover

I need the Xover design of Proac response 3.8.

The unit is Scan speak 9900 + pair of 8545.

I got one, but it's a little weird.

So I want the check it's original or tweak.

And I think a thread which contains many Xover design is needed.

Thanks..

What do you think? The 47 ohm at the tweeter might be wrong..

been thinking about trying this or the 2.5 after the new year. once winter set in.

can i ask where you got your page info? looks very close to the one i am posting here, but the art work is different. would like to see what else they may have to show.

have been looking for more info on the 3.8 but there doesn't seem to be much out there.

Seems to be the design for scan-speak reference plus.
If so you could have a look at this;

One thing to mention is that audiocomponents is using Intertechnik parts in his crossover, so Tritec, Torobar, KPSn are components of Intertechnik, you can find them on http://www.intertechnik.de

Why do you found it weird?

Default Resistor

47 ohm is too big.. So I guess it's 4.7 ohm..

But still big...

Just wanted to check..

If you are talking about L-pad resistor values, I think 47-ohm series with 22-ohm shunt should work.
If you mentioned that parallel resonant trap part, I have no specific reference. Usually a small ohmic value is used for very steep notch and greater value for smaller peak correction. I am not sure if you need that notch filter there at all?

BUT even if this crossover is not so weird perhaps, itís an expensive one if you want to build this with polyprop capacitors and air-core inductors.
