because Dynaudio speakers are not any longer in sale
Tell me, did I mis something?
That would be very sad, as the quality was very good and the sound very refined.

the construction of Dynaudio drivers, especially the woofers, has always impressed me. Should build a glass box for them

yes, sorry if I made confusion. Sure, I spoke abour single speakers, not about boxes... (well, sorry for my English).

I saw Ebay and there are some speakers available. My 2,8 are from Ebay as well.

It started about three years ago (approx at the same time they got Volvo as big OEM customer) when they came to the conclusion that serving small manufacturers and DIY wasn't giving enough revenue.

The new drivers that you see every now and then are just NOS I assume.

According to the Swiss sales representative you can still get new drivers when returning the defective ones, but the price will be about twice as much as they originally costed.

Regards

Charles

Why don't you try to activate the current box ? You would then be able to finetune the sound to your liking.

I have a pair of Contour 2.8. Pair them with a good powerful EL34 based valve amp and you get really good sound.
Be careful with placement though.
Difficult speakers, but when you get the matching right they are incredible.

Best Regards
