Quick ML TQWT question

I'm using Martin Kings ML TQWT Mathcad work sheet and just need some clarification on the driver position ratio, I couldn't find the article that explains the design, I know that .5 is halfway along the line but is say .8 more towards the small end or the large end?

If the ratio used is 0.0 you are at the closed end, and 1.0 for the open end.
