I have a pair of Bass Horns I picked up for free from a lady who wanted them removed from her home. They seem to be decent build quality, but need to be cosmetically refreshed. Drivers used in them are Philips 12" drivers with foam surrounds, and one of them is acting problematic in the horn as the foam surround is rotting and the cone pushes too far forward thus vibrating on the baffle. I am looking for ideas on replacement drivers, but have little experience with cabiney specs ect.
Here are some measurements:
Internal measurements are 16" deep 24" high and 11" deep
Horn flare is 17.5" wide and 18" high and 11" deep
Inside measurement of horn flare is 12" high and 6" wide
The port on the top is 8" wide 2.5" high and 11.5" deep (it port from either side of the horn inside the cab.
Any ideas for a decent 12' speaker for sub bass?

Hi,
I think you have a mid horn, judging by the length and flare rate of the front horn.
Compare this to a Tannoy Westminster. http://www.tannoy.com/WestminsterRoyal
The front horn looks a little similar and Tannoy claim it cuts off at about 200Hz. The rear horn then takes over all the way down to 18Hz but needs an enormous 530litre cabinet to achieve this.
No ideas about a replacement.

Something like this Selenium might just drop in. Can you measure the centre to centre on the mounting holes?
