Seas 27TBFC/G and CA18RNX, new project

Well, I think im ready to start my first DIY speakers. I've done quite a bit of research but am still a real novice, so anyone who would like to contribute any advice would be appreciated. Here is my concept so far:

Use as simple as possible 1st order series xover
largish monitor size, about 22 liters, front ported at 37hz

I would like to avoid BSC if possible by tuning the bass for a more rolled off lower bass, padding the tweeter slightly more and positioning the speakers slightly closer to the back wall

I would stay in the middle size box and go tower not book shelf...cross 12db
to look like this..this size is 40" to the center of the tweeter and is 30L for the peerless,but gonna try the same box with seas 27tff and ca18rly which takes more space than the rnx but was told that the mid was more detailed then the peerless,I 'll keep in touch to see if its true

Looks very nice! Let me know how the seas and the peerless compare. I was looking at peerless but I've just been so impressed with Seas quality and liked the smoothness of the ca18rnx's roll off.

The ca18rnx seemed to work fine modeled in a 40L box tuned to about 36hz (-3db at 38hz)

I've taken a look at Zaph's speaker and it looks great, but my concept is a little different. I was thinking of a simple and economical two way monitor that could be very easily tweaked into something like an "economy" Andromeda by Tony Gee. My biggest problem at this point is crossover values. I've pretty much decided I would like to start out with this topology.
